Regent
In the language of the Constitution, the Regent is TNS’ equivalent to a chairman. The Regent is the only Executive Committee member who is entitled to speak for the society.
From 2010–2018 Thorsten Heitzmann has been the Editor of TNS and has taken on the office of Regent in 2020, being re-elected in 2022.
Thorsten lives near Lucerne, Switzerland.

Editor
The Editor is, unsurprisingly, responsible for the timely production and enjoyable content of the society’s journal Vidya.
Heather Preston is serving as Vidya editor. She was editor of Vidya back in the 20th century, and designed TNS's first website (on geocities... remember that?) in the Late Cretaceous (circa 1996) of the Internet. She optimistically thinks that in 2022 it will be easier than in days past to cajole some Vidya material from the members who enjoy posting in any forum among the TNS social-media options. If you would like to be immortalized in Vidya's pages in word, puzzle, or art, please email today!

Membership Officer
The Membership Officer is taking care of the membership applications, has the finger on the pulse of the membership and is generally concerned with getting more people to join.
The Membership Officer answers inquiries from potential new members; assesses Applicants' submitted documents for qualification purposes and qualifies applicants who meet TNS standards; leads TNS's promotional efforts to attract new members, regain lapsed members and retain current members; actively participates in Executive Committee (ExCom) decision making as a member of TNS's leadership team.
Our current Membership Officer is Natalia Malysheva, who has also served TNS as Vidya Editor and as vgg999 organizer.

Financial Officer
The Financial Officer is responsible for handling TNS funds, including member dues; ensuring compliance with laws relating to TNS finances; preparing budgets; and giving an annual report of financial activity to the Society.
Tess joined Triple Nine society in 2017, and became progressively more involved in the organization. While serving as a moderator in the Facebook group, Tess was encouraged by many to run for office, and was elected to the Executive Committee as a Member at Large in 2020, serving until March 2022. After a short break, she volunteered to serve again when the need for a Financial Officer arose, taking over the role in mid-October, 2022. After many years as a business owner and manager in the private sector, Tess now works as an analyst for the US Department of Veterans Affairs. When she has free time, she spends it with family and friends, hiking and attending live music shows, and enjoying long lazy days in and around her little house on the edge of the woods in southern Illinois.

Members-at-Large
Also known as MAL, the position of Member-at-Large is the only one to occur more than once in the ExCom – thus the numbering in the email addresses. But there is no ranking, all MALs listed below have equal rights and generally serve to represent the membership in ExCom decisions.

Member-at-Large Kathryn Holopainen
Kathryn Holopainen has been a TNS member since 2018, and is still surprised that she qualified. Although officially resident in British Columbia, Canada, she has been domiciled in Barbados since September 2020 as her “Caribbean Covid Plan.”
Kathryn has been a teacher, fisher, geologist, ambulance attendant, (plus many more) and is currently considering herself retired. On discovering she qualified for TNS, her mission has been to meet as many TNS members as possible, which has involved egg, ggg, vgg and visiting people in 7 different countries (so far) as she travelled.
