Following last year's very successful conference organized by Ed Schreiber in Denver, the San Francisco Bay Area Triple Nine Society local group
is organizing this year's ggg999 conference. The meeting will be held at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza, 2086 Allston Way (at Shattuck),
Berkeley, CA 94704, (510) 845-7300.
The hotel is centrally located, only two blocks away from the University of California campus,
adjacent to the Bay Area Rapid Transit Berkeley Station, and near a good selection of restaurants and other businesses.
Parking is difficult near the hotel but there s a parking garage across the street.
Rates are $2.50/hour, with a maximum of $14. There is also an early bird special: in by 8:30, out by 6 for $8.
Members of other 99.9th-percentile-plus high-IQ societies with credible admission standards are also welcome,
as are guests accompanied by members of the societies.
Registration: $70/person until July 31 August 15, $80/person until August 30, $90/person after August 30 (includes all conference activities).
The hotel rate is $129/night (single or double); a number of rooms will be held until August 5.
You may be able to obtain better rates online. Those attending and not either local or staying with friends in the area are
urged to make hotel reservations as soon as possible, for the best rates and availability. Mention the Triple Nine Society
to get the group rate at the Shattuck Plaza. Travel arrangements should also be made without delay, as we were unable

The primary purpose of the conference is contact between members and we will attempt to balance the formal program with ample free time.
We are actively seeking speakers, on many subjects, at this time. Those who are interested in speaking at the conference or who
would like to recommend a speaker are invited to contact us at ggg999@triplenine.org.
Speakers are not remunerated and we will be screening proposals and accepting only those that we feel will be of the most interest to those attending.
There are a limited number of speaker slots.
